I purchased this crab at a local pet store for about $30.00 because I'd never seen anything like it. This picture is deceptive. The crab is actually slightly larger than a quarter. I was told that it is an "Red Pacific Rock Crab." Who knows? It is nocturnal, so I haven't really seen it since. This picture was taken at night with a flashlight.
