Changing Saved Passwords on the SCS VPN and iPass client
To access the SCS network remotely using the VPN or iPass client all SCS users must use their SCS /remote instance and associated password. To change your username and password on these clients refer to the instructions below.
VPN Client username and password configuration
- Start the VPN client by going to Start-> All Programs-> Cisco Systems VPN Client-> VPN Client
- Highlight the SCS and/or the SCS1 connection entry
- Click Modify
- Click "Erase User Password" in the pop up window then click Save
Note: If the Erase User Password button is grayed out you do not have a saved password
- Double click on the connection entry to start the VPN session
- Enter your /remote instance and password when prompted
- Check the Save password box
Your VPN session should connect normally
Windows iPass Client username and password configuration
- Start the iPass client by going to Start-> All Programs-> iPass-> iPass Connect
- Click Settings then choose Login Information
- Enter your /remote instance and password and click OK
- Enter your location information and select the iPass site
- Click on connect
Your iPass session should now be connected.
Macintosh iPass Client username and password configuration
- Start the iPass client by going to Finder-> Applications-> iPassConnect and double click on the icon
- Click Preferences then choose Login Information
- Enter your /remote instance and password and click OK
Note: When you connect you will be prompted to save your password.
- Enter your location information and select the iPass site
- Click on connect
Your iPass session should now be connected.
