This graduate reading seminar will survey the literature on educational technology design, implementation, and evaluation. Readings will be drawn from the educational technology literature, relevant articles from the cognitive science and human-computer interaction literatures, and from the 2002 book "e-Learning and the Science of Instruction: Proven Guidelines for Consumers and Designers of Multimedia Learning" by Clark & Mayer.  Grading will be based on participation in class, participation on the blackboard discussion board, and on a final project.  Graduate students with an interest in educational technology research or development and some background in a related discipline are invited to enroll.  Questions about the course can be sent to koedinger@cmu.edu.
