Acquiring Launch Permit
Special user quota regulations are in effect for the Ohiopyle-Bruner
Run (Lower Yough) section. All persons using inflatable craft must
have a launch permit which can be secured in advance by contacting the
park office (412/329-4707). Ohiopyle State Park, Box 105, Ohiopyle,
Pa. 15470.
All boaters running the Ohiopyle to Bruner Run section are required to
use the shuttle bus from the Bruner Run take-out to the Old Mitchell
Place Parking Lot. Tokens for the shuttle bus should be purchased from
the ticket booth at the put-in before starting out on this section of
the river. Boaters still have to arrange their own shuttle from the
Old Mitchell Parking Lot back to Ohiopyle.
