This problem is generated by
the discrepancy between words of different languages that
express the same concept. These words can be referred to a
singular pronoun in the source language and to a plural pronoun in
the target language. In order to take into account number
discrepancies in the translation of the pronoun into English or
Spanish, a set of morphological (number) rules is constructed. The
lefthand side of the number rule contains the interlingua
representation of the pronoun, whereas the righthand side contains
the pronoun in the target language.
