Doctoral Programs:
Normally, the School of Computer Science awards most students accepted into a doctoral program a Graduate Fellowship for the academic year, covering full tuition and providing a living allowance that is usually renewable for the duration of the program. Many students receive fellowships from external sources, among them Intel Corporation, Microsoft, IBM, and NASA.

Robotics: "Students accepted into the Robotics Doctoral Program are awarded a Graduate Fellowship for each academic year until graduation. The fellowship award is renewed as long as the student maintains good standing in the program. It is not necessary to request financial

Language Technologies: "Whereas all Ph.D. students will receive some form of financial support, the exact form of that support may vary." More about the Language Technologies Institute PhD Financial Support ...

Human-Computer Interaction: "It is anticipated that students accepted into the HCI Ph.D. program will be awarded a Graduate Fellowship for the academic year covering full tuition and a living allowance, usually renewable for the duration of the program, as long as the student maintains good standing." Software Engineering Doctoral Program. Students accepted into the Software Engineering Doctoral Program are awarded a Graduate Fellowship for each academic year until graduation. The fellowship award is renewed as long as the student maintains good standing in the program. It is not necessary to request financial aid.

Master's and Undergraduate:
At the master's and undergraduate level, students are encouraged to apply for support from outside Carnegie Mellon (fellowships, foreign government contracts, etc.). As a matter of practice, the School of Computer Science offers competitive scholarships packets to students admitted into top national schools. Links to Financial Information:
