The Distributed Information Retrieval Group

PEOPLE AND PLACES

The Language Technologies Institute has several information retrieval groups. The group of people who work with Jamie Callan is known as the Distributed IR group because that is one of its most visible research areas. However, the group has projects in several other areas, including information filtering, language modeling, question answering, and information systems tailored for children.
