TCP Splice
A technique for implementing split-connection proxies
with out violating TCP end-to-end reliability semantics. The
technique can be implemented in-kernel, thereby providing an
easy-to-use primitive for building high performance proxies that
support mobility, web caching, firewall and transcoding services.
Joint work with Pravin Bhagwat conducted at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center.

include techniques for restarting the splice after a crash and
outlines for proof of correctness for TCP Splice. Complete proof of
correctness available in technical report by A. Segall, P. Bhagwat,
and D. Maltz.
