Our sentence

We will study the interactions between a closed office door and a visitor seeking the office inhabitant, and prototype a system to mediate this interaction.

Our paragraph

We will study the interactions between a closed office door and a visitor seeking the office inhabitant. The product of our study will be a system to mediate this interaction. We propose to study this topic from two directions: exploring the artifacts on doors that people use to leave messages, and searching the social psychology literature to understand how to model people within their offices when the door is closed. From this exploration, we will design prototypes and conduct user studies to refine our system. Our contribution will model the people within the office and mediate interaction with those outside.
