My short films do not demonstrate strong character development and have extremely simple story lines. They came into existence as elaborate technical tests. However, they have all recieved recognition at local film festivals and in the local news periodicals. People seem to enjoy them.

Motivation/Technical Test:
Seemlessly combine computer generated objects with real video.
Title(year): Friday Night Dinner(1999)
Duration: 4 mins
Descirption: A quest to find a latenight snack. Sometimes finding what you want is easier than you think.
Motivation/Technical Test: Cinematography and continuous action. Shot a total of 36 different angles editted together to create one flow of action.
Title(Year): Happiness (1999)
Duration: 3 mins.
Descirption: Searching for happiness on the internet. Google the search engine had the opportunity to see this piece and enjoyed it so much they sent me lots of free goodies.
Motivation/Technical Test: Low lighting conditions, color control, and relfections.

Title(Year): Salmagundi openning titles (2000)
Duration: 20 sec
Descirption: Short computer animation that introduces the Film and Media Society annual film festival, Salmagundi.
Motivation/Technical Test: Fun little weekend project. Decent graphics at the time, done with a demo version of a program. 3D walking animation, reflection and lighting, and sound FX.
Title(Year): 1 Nickle Opera titles (2000)
Duration: 17 sec
Descirption: Computer generated introduction to a Film and Media Society film festival project, One Nickel Opera.
Motivation/Technical Test: Dense text compositing and animation, 30 total layers. In retrospect, it was dumb to have rendered this with motion blur turned off.
Title(Year): Virtual Reality opening titles (1997) Duration: 24 sec
Descirption: CG opening sequence to a video based report on the developement of virtual reality.
Motivation/Technical Test: Particle and lighting effects, 2D layering, sound compositing. Not bad too for 1997.

Title(Year): Spaceship Test (2000)
Duration: 7 sec
Descirption: Really short, 100% CG sequence of starwars ships.
Motivation/Technical Test: Went to SIGGRAPH, learned how to do SFX compositing came home a tried it. 3D lighting, rendering, and video compositing. 24 total layers of video.
