I am a senior member of technical staff (research scientist) in Epson Palo Alto Lab, Epson Research and Development, Inc. I am interested in Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Computer Animation, and related areas of research and application.

I received the Ph.D. degree in Robotics in May 2005, from the Robotics Institute, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, under the supervision of Professor Takeo Kanade and Professor Jeffrey Cohn. In July 1999, I accomplished the M.S. degree in Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence from National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Institute of Automation , Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Songde Ma . I received the B.S. degree in Automatic Control from University of Science and Technology of China in June 1996.
