Derek Kurth is a first year Masters student at the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute. His got his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University in the Spring of 2002. He enjoys long, autonomous walks in the park, identifying the sunset via thermal sensors, and is interested in fitting trained cybernetic ferrets with laser sensors to map abandoned mines.
