CALL FOR PAPERS
November 3-7, 2003

The purpose of this
one-day Workshop is for students attending the 2003 On the Move Federated Conferences (including DOA, ODBASE and CoopIS) and related Workshops
to present their latest research, their preliminary
findings and their next research directions. The idea is to provide a forum
for students from various universities to interact with their peers, to gain
exposure to the academic and industrial communities, and to present preliminary
results and tentative unexplored ideas, with the idea of obtaining immediate
feedback.
PhD and Master’s thesis
students are particularly encouraged to submit papers summarizing their
research (recent, ongoing and future) and thesis topics, even if they are at
the early stages of their investigations.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
The Workshop
solicits descriptions of ongoing and future student research related to, but
not limited to, the following topics:
- Distributed objects and
middleware
- Dependability, fault
tolerance and reliability
- Security, survivability and
intrusion tolerance
- Real-time and scheduling
- Systems research
- Software engineering
research
- Embedded and enterprise
systems
PAPER SUBMISSIONS
Papers submitted
for review must be written in English and conform to a 11-point,
single-column, double-spaced format, and must be at most three (3) pages in
length. Papers should be singly authored by students.
Authors are
requested to submit an electronic version (PostScript or PDF) of their paper
before July 25, 2003 to the following address: priya@cs.cmu.edu
Authors
will be notified of the acceptance of their papers by August 1, 2003.
For
accepted papers, the camera-ready version should be at most two (2) pages in
11-point, double-column, single-spaced format. Accepted workshop
contributions (written material) will be published by Springer-Verlag as a
part of the Proceedings of the 2003 On The Move Federated
Conferences
.
