Many people have replied with excellent suggestions. Other people have replied with flattery for the Deck of the Week. And the whim is strong within me... So I'm going to declare this to be a * Deck of the Week Challenge! * The challenge: take the cards listed below, and build the best deck you can, with the best writeup. The entry process: Send your contributions to me, at ralph@cs.cmu.edu, and to James, at reagulf@wierdness.com. The deadline: I will make my judgment on Saturday, November 15. The judging: I will base my decision upon these factors: 1) The quality of the deck. 2) The quality of the writeup for the strategy of playing the deck. 3) The quality of the writeup for the deck design process. I do request James to e-mail me his own comments on which writeups he finds helpful, and I will take his comments into account. Performance in the swimsuit competition will be a very minor part of my decision. The prize: The winning deck will be selected as Deck of the Week, with all the fame, honor, and meaningless sex with INWO groupies that accompany that honor.
