Hamburg 2211 Rules and Regulations

Please report any problems with the hardware, software or the room setup to Susan. Please keep the room clean. You are sharing the room with several other classes and it gets janitorial service only every other day.

When you leave double check that
  • you have cleaned up after yourself,
  • you are not taking any tools or shared resources with you, and
  • you have closed the door firmly behind you.
Don't let anyone into the room who you don't know.  If they say they have a meeting next, ask them to swipe their card to verify they have permission to access to the room.  A lot of video and computer equipment has been stolen from Hamburg Hall and we don't want to lose the computer equipment in the room.

One have of the room is meeting space and the other half is workspace. Please try to confine the mess to the workspace side of the room. This space is always open to anyone who wants to use it. There are a few tools there now, but mostly it has stuff that we cleaned out of the other side. As different classes need to start making stuff, we will clean the workspace up and bring in the tools you need.

The workspace also has a bunch of storage bins on the top of the bookcase. If your group needs to store stuff (papers, prototypes, artifacts,...), you can select a bin and mark it clearly with your group name. Anything you leave in the room that isn't in a clearly marked bin may get scavenged by another group. The advantage of using a bin is that everyone in your group has access to the room, so you don't end up with different bits of your project stored in different dorm rooms.
