Spring 2006 Positions


The Vision and Mobile Robotics Laboratory, lead by Professor Martial Hebert from the Robotics Institute, is looking for undergraduate students who are interested in joining our research group in the Spring.

Various positions are available with different level of involvement depending on the motivations, skills, and interests of the student. We have paid and indenpendent study positions (for grade).

Our group is currently engaged in a variety of projects related to computer vision (both 2D and 3D), computer graphics, and robotics. We have a number of active projects including laser-based perception for autonomous robot navigation in natural environments, image-based object recognition, object detection, classification, and tracking. Experience. Computer vision experience is not required, but having background knowledge or having taken classes in the following areas would be beneficial: computer vision, robotics, statistics, linear systems, and object oriented programming in C++.
